Get to know the photographer

I started my photography journey in the 7th grade when I had to come up with a talent for the Beta Club Convention in Nashville, TN. My grandmother is a photography enthusiast so she offered to show me how to use her camera while on a family vacation in Gatlinburg, TN. The photo that I submitted in the photography competition ended up placing 7th out of a couple hundred entries. I was so excited to get a ribbon, as I had low confidence at the time that I would do well in any of the competitions. It was a testament to the cliche "just believe in yourself" line that you often hear in times of doubt.
Photography always seemed to pop in and out of my life over the years. I used to bring my old camera to softball games and take photos of my teammates or my siblings in their sports. I think I always knew that it was a passion of mine, but I didn't have the confidence to dive in.
That is, until my sister was in need of a photographer for her graduation photos... And who better than the oldest sister who always knew the right angles?? Since that graduation session in 2023, I have not put the camera down. Well, until I was able to buy a professional camera!

My husband and I got married in May of 2024. We live in Tullahoma with our 2 dogs and cat, Otis, Opie, and Ollie! Our son, Henry, was stillborn in December of 2025. Grief is a very difficult thing. However, we have hope in God. We let grief be a reminder of love and joy. We will see our Henry again. We love our church, spending time with our family, & tending to Henry's garden.
I work a full-time job on top of my photography business. The work that I do is so fulfilling, I love my career!
My values translate into my work. I like to get to know my clients, help them to feel comfortable, and bring their visions to life! I like to cut-up during sessions and make it fun for everyone- it is supposed to be fun!!
